We use only genuine copper parts, not plated. Shiny copper will naturally oxidize (darken) with time and wear. Copper that is already darkened (oxidized) will lighten with frequent handling. That is the nature of solid copper and is not considered a defect.
Genuine copper is nickel free. This pure natural copper is BARE (NOT lacquered or sealed). Shiny copper develops patina over time with exposure to air and moisture. To shine it, simply buff with a small amount of metal polish or soak in vinegar for a few minutes, rinse in warm soapy water, and pat dry. Or enjoy the natural patina!
